Ok, it's been a long time since I've posted here, but today I've witnessed the most un-eco-friendly act that I've seen in a long time. It just ruined my entire day, which is why I'm here to let it out, niceely! : )
Here's the event in slow mo:
1) I'm waiting to meet up with a friend in a building at school. He's a few minutes late so I'm in a waiting area just sitting on a bench, minding my own business. Next to me was a disposing receptacle (an area where people throw “stuff” out).

A family member just got one of these LG refrigerators (product code: LBC22520ST) and I'm so impressed with it that I must recommend this refrigerator to anyone purchasing a new (eco-friendly) one.
Pro's:
- It's very quiet, we couldn't even tell that it was running when we first turned it on, except for the light.
- It's energy efficient. It's energy consumption (kWh/year) is rated at only 465.
Con's:
- It's quite pricey as it cost just over $1000.
I will update this post if any issues or other points worth mentioning arise.

The Green Police are real and they're working hard to catch the litter bugs and energy abusers.

Save lots on electricity! CFL light bulbs are about 60% more efficient than older incandescent light bulbs. But don't stop here, new LED light bulbs are coming into the market soon. Right now they are too expensive, but LED technology is improving fast and manufacturing costs are slowing coming down.

CFL lightbulbs will be obsolete with this new firefly technology.
